Seanchas le - oral history project


From 2005 - 07 our Seanchas le oral history project gathered a selection of Islay's rich Gaelic language and heritage which can be explored and enjoyed at www.seanchas-ile.net.
 
The Heritage archive contains a selection of the rich spoken and sung heritage of Islay's tradition bearers. You can click on any of the titles below to hear a sound file. The transcript and translation for each recording is also available as a PDF file which can be downloaded and printed.
